| bought this machine here on Amazon for only 30.00 refurbished with 6 months warranty and free shipping. What a deal? I tested the machine and I said do myself let me get few more to give to friends as a gift, but was too late the price went up to almost 100.00. The only thing I regret is because I bought it this year and I should've bought a long time ago even paying the 100.00 price. This machine is excellent I have cooked so many different thing on it and I love it. I do agree with someone that said that it makes a little noise, but just spray a little oil on it. It does what they show on TV commercial and much more ,just be creative. |

| I've been wanting one of these for 6 years now, but would not come off the money to get it. I never thought it was worth it. I was forever more buying rotisserie chickens from the grocery store coming home from work. Finally my husband broke down and said go get one. I was so excited!! I brought it home and put on a 5LB chicken, after seasoning it, and set it and forgot it. While it was cooking, I got my kids a bath, myself a bath, and cooked up some side dishes (45 minutes). When it finished, OH MY GOSH!! It was awsome, not to mention a time saver. It was so much better than the grocery stores, just unreal! I never thought a home machine could cook like this, crispy, juicy, done all over, amazing flavors, not burnt, just awsome. My pickiest son will even eat meat now. WOW! He loves to watch it cook and try the meats. Before, he would not touch a piece of meat unless it was a chicken nugget. It cooks enough food for my family of 4. I can't stop telling my friends and family about it. I cook all my meats in here now. I've done pork chops, steaks, fish, ham, chicken, squarrel, roast and shrimp kabobs. I think my husband likes it better than me sometimes. His heart burn has gone away, and he says he's feeling much better. Our meats arn't sitting in the pan with the fat anymore. I love this thing! No more meat sitting in the fat, cranking up the hot stove in the summer, and no more checking on the food. You really set it and forget it. It's worth every penny! If I would have known back then what I know now about this machine, I would have paid double if I had too. |
I think it's great

I think that it is just great. I have to agree that it does make a squeaking noise when it turns and with a few drops of oil it is quieter but not silent. I love cooking with this machine. I just prep my bird and set the machine. It allows me to prepare the rest of my meal and/or rest myself.
I still check on it from time to time. My gloves have worked very well, I have only used them to lift the bird out to baste or remove it. They have not melted and just rinse them off with a little soap and water and reuse them over and over.
Even better, clean up is a breeze. As long as you clean up after each use. There are not that many parts to clean and I usually line my drip pan with foil and that makes cleanup much faster
Everything that has come out of my baby george has been absolutely mouth watering. I can't wait to try more stuff. |
Not Great but OK

I love how the chickens taste with this, but I noticed it took longer to cook a chicken in the Showtime than in the oven. I also had the problem of the leg joints being raw when the rest of the chicken was cooked. It cooked salmon very good.
The machine also did squeek after the first few uses but if you oil the sides where you slide the rotisserie part on, it stops making noise. You just have to keep doing it each time before you cook something. I didn't like how it cooked steak. It kind of stewed it.
Also Ronco rips you off to get elastic chicken ties. They charge $15.00 plus shipping for a packet of 100 ties. $15.00 for chicken ties? Greedy. |
Not a good first impression

| I haven't even used it yet and already give it a low score. First, the door does not stay shut and it hit me in the head while I was trying to store it above the counter. And second, it did NOT include 3 accessories that were clearly stated on the box as being included! Unfortunately, since I didn't purchase it-- it was a gift-- I cannot get replacement parts unless I buy them. Not a good first impression!!! |
OK, But If It Breaks ...

| I bought mine years ago. It's a good little machine, and served well, but it just stopped working one day. There were no appliance repair shops in our city authorized to work on these machines, and when I called their 800 number, they were absolutely no help. They had no resources to find repair shops and offered no repair services of their own. So even if the machine is good, if you can't repair it, you might be out a lot of money just after the warranty expires, and filling landfills with small appliances stikes me as wasteful. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next purchase. |
Can hear your chicken scream!

| This Rotisserie is a gift from underworld. Despite trying many different combinations we can not make it to operate silently. It creates a high pitch eerie screaming sound that disturbs even our neighbors! Gloves that came with it melted, it is very hard to clean, and definitely not worth the money paid Avoid at all costs! |
