best toaster oven I have owned

I have gone through 3 or 4 toaster ovens over the years and this is the ONE. My wife loves it too, which is all that really matters.
The fan bake is the best, food gets done quick and the food is actually properly browned and crispy. I love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp. is correct and the timer keeps me from over cooking the food.
Something that is neat about this unit is that it has a quick function guide that pulls out from the bottom so you don't have to keep the user guide around in case you want to figure out what the pizza settings mean, etc.
My only complaint is that the display doesn't seem centered (the top and side has a white border, the bottom and right side doesn't). In addition it is pretty bright. A good night light I guess.
I would recommend this unit, it is just like William Sonoma unit (minus the dehydrator function and no stainless steel top/side casing).

| Have only had it 6 weeks. But surpasses my expectations. Have used it daily and am very happy and impressed. Cook on all settings efficiently and does not heat up my whole kitchen. Have cooked cakes, pizza, bread, cookies, cornbread, potatoes, all perfect. Glad it has an inside ligt, very useful. |

| I love this convection oven. It's exactly the same oven as the one at Williams Sonoma, which is sold at $200. I called Delonghi and they said the only difference is the color. It preheats fast, and does its job perfectly. I love the digital looking, and it's very easy to use. I also like the tray at the bottom, because it is so easy to clean. Overall, it is perfect. |
Quality toaster / convection oven

| This DeLonghi is one of the few toaster / convection ovens that has an enamel interior (and not an interior coated with Teflon or similar material). The controls are reasonably sturdy. There is a good range of cooking settings, including one for dehydrating vegetables and fruits. Everyone is sensitive to different sounds, but I do not find the beeping noises that accompany choosing settings annoying or bothersome. Unless you have a bedroom next to the kitchen, it's not likely a problem. These comments are based on 1 week's worth of use. |
Awesome toaster oven!

| This toaster oven is not only stylish, it cooks food to perfection. I used this instead of heating up my large oven and it cooks faster than the full sized oven too. Pizza comes out with a crispy crust and perfectly cooked cheese. The controls are easy to use and it has all the functions you could possibly need. De'Longhi makes great toaster ovens. |

This is our second Delonghi toaster oven. The first one lasted almost ten years and we are delighted with the updates on this new one. Clock is very readable and selection buttons are easy to use.
Overall very pleased with this product. |

| This toaster oven is much bigger than it looks. The fact that you can put a whole pizza in is amazing. The controls are simple to use and well marked. |
Very good toaster oven

Researching toaster ovens is no fun. Seems like many (even old favorites) are now poorly made -- prone to catching fire or having handles that heat up to excruciating temps and burn you. This oven seems to be very well made and comes with nice accessories. The handle does not get hot. The size is larger than many other toaster ovens, which is great for toasting 6 slices of bread at one time, but you'll want to measure your counter space to be sure it fits.
This oven does beep, as do so many appliances these days, but it's not nearly as loud or obnoxious as other appliances we own (Bosche dishwasher is the worst offender). The controls are intuitive and the oven works evenly. This oven is an excellent choice at what seems to be a reasonable price point for its features (which include convection). Looks nice too. |

| I got this oven as a replacement for an older DeLonghi model we've been using for years in the office kitchen. My staff loves it. I can't wait until they make me some cookies! : ) |
Toaster - Convection Oven

We had owned the previous DeLonghi Digital Convection Oven and we quite satisfied with it. The bottom heat elements were burning out and since they are very difficult to replace and the elements are a bit pricey we decided to replace.
This new model looks like it has elements that are more conventional if they need replacement in the future,
Not as good looking as the old and the settings, while simplified from the previous take longer to set.
The fan on the old model was whisper quiet, on this model a bit noisy. Since the fan is used only in convection mode this should not be a problem unless you plan on using it as a replacement for a full size convection oven.
That said, it works well and fills our needs. |

| This is my second DeLonghi toaster oven. The first one still works just fine, but I wanted also a bigger one, so now I am using both. I still have to get used to the controls of the new one though, therefore I am only giving it a 4 star rating at this point. The first one I bought at least 10 years ago, never had a problem with it, while the cheaper ovens I had before never lasted more than 3 - 4 years. To me it is well worth spending the extra money and have a reliable product. I use the oven a lot, primarily for baking, seldom for toasting. I did some extensive research before I bought this new one and I think it paid off. DeLonghi for me is the only one. |
3rd DeLonghi oven, and the best so far
|

I guess I've become a loyal DeLonghi customer. First one was about twelve years ago after buying a new *other* brand every 18 months or so. Two units for twelve years ain't bad.
This is by far the best of the lot. The only complaint I have is the buttons on the front have a somewhat cheap look and feel, although they work just fine (cost one star). The rest of the oven has a quality feel, the fit of everything is perfect, especially the door which seals well and has a very nice steel handle set out from the oven enough that it doesn't get hot. There are stand-offs in the back so it can't get pushed too close to the wall.
The convection feature is a wonderful addition, it cooks everything faster and more evenly. Works well when using two racks. The beeps are not too loud for me but the high frequency component in the sound is a bit irritating. Good news is I can hear them even in the back of the house. I agree with other reviews the clock is too bright - not a deal breaker by any means.
The pans are heavier and with a better enamel coating than my previous one. The racks fit better and the fact that the door no longer pulls the rack out is a bonus. I never liked how that feature made the whole oven feel cheap. Two custom fitted cookie sheets are included. This oven is an improvement over previous models in every way. The light in the interior is an outstanding new feature and has a side benefit in that you can see if the oven is on from twenty feet away. Even the red "on" light which surrounds the on/off button is extremely bright and visible.
No more twisting spring loaded timer. That was what broke on our old one, and the one before that. This new oven has a push "on" or "off" button - the timer is a separate digital counter. The auto bread darkness feature worked perfectly on ours. Number 1 is so light it's barely toasted at all and the darker settings are in usable steps. This one also has a two-hour shut off in case you forget to check on it before leaving the house.
This oven is wonderful. That being said, I don't know where you can find bread small enough to fit six slices. Expect a roomy four slice toaster :-)
I highly recommend it.

Good looking but LOUD beeping unacceptable!

It seems to be a well made toaster & convection oven -- quite a step up from my previous DeLonghi toaster oven. Unfortunately, the beeping of the digital console is WAY TOO LOUD and requires WAY TOO MANY beeps to do anything. For example, to do 2 slices of toast, it requires more than 7 button beeps to do that (and that's without pre-heating so the toast won't be done right anyway). These beeps are much louder and "cheaper" sounding than my oven and microwave and my dog runs out of the house every time I tried using it.
I contact DeLonghi Customer Support. The beeping cannot be turned off and the volume cannot be turned down. Also, the presets (e.g. 4 slices of toast at level 4) cannot be changed.
I don't understand why DeLonghi does not improve the software in these devices. I'm sending mine back... |
Liked it but malfunctioned after a couple of weeks

| I got this toaster oven as a gift. We liked it at first (the beeping signaling your toast is done is very loud and annoying) but within a few uses, the "mode" writing on the toast button, came off. After another week, the display starting shorting out on a daily basis. I called DeLonghi's thinking I could exchange it since we got it a month ago. They were nice but said I would have to take it to a service center to get it fixed or ship it to one. I would have to wait for them to fix it (no charge other than potential shipping) and then be out of a toaster oven while they fixed it. It just didn't ring good customer service since it's practically brand new. I would recommend buying an oven from a company that at least has a decent exchange/warranty and won't fall apart after just a few uses. |
